TC Electronic System 6000 4.0 LM5D

Highly acclaimed music technology company TC Electronic has further boosted their flagship multichannel audio processing suite System 6000 with its latest software update. Software version 4.0 features new additional functionality and plugin support to an already powerful system and is currently available to all System 6000 users. Version 4.0 for TC Electronic System 6000 is a free upgrade, and TC Electronic is featuring special pricing on featured functions until September 2009.

Version 4.0 includes the LM5D radar loudness meter, which provides optimal control in a standardized manner. LM5D allows measurement and control of loudness at various stages of production and distribution by ensuring a transparent signal path based on the ITU-R BS.1770 standard for any audio format from mono to 5.1. This ensures compliance with broadcast, post or cinema specifications. In contrast to peak-level or dialog-level measurements, LM5D gives more precision as it provides better performance and predictability for the Dolby AC3 codec. System 6000 users can make use of the LM5D for a 300-hour time trial period before purchase and is available at a special purchase price until September 1, 2009.

Other new features include new presets for the stereo source reverb VSS4HD are included in version 4.0 as well as bug fixes for two bugs that made the reverb image less deep and chaotic. Version 4.0 also fixes a bug that made System 6000 wake up at 44.1 kHz regardless of which rate it was used before power down as well as keep channel assignments in configurations with 16 digital I/O's plus analog I/O's.

A license for LM5D for System 6000 software version 4.0 can be purchased at the introductory price of $595.00 (standard price is at $995.00) until September 1, 2009. Downloads for Reverb 6000 Version 4.0 (System 6000 without additional license) are also available via TC Electronic's web site.
