TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 Vocal Processor To Receive Version 1.2 Software Update
A major software update for the TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 is just around the corner. The version 1.2 update for the floor-based vocal processor adds Rhythmic effects, improved lead voice latency, and a number of maintenance improvements requested by VoiceLive 2 users.
With the update, your VoiceLive 2 will host the Rhythmic series of tempo effects -- Stutter, Sample, and Gender effects -- that can be controlled via preprogrammed rhythms and tap or MIDI tempo.
Rhythmic Sample lets you create "delay-freeze"-style effects for freezing parts of your vocal performance; meanwhile, Rhythmic Stutter allows patterns and waveforms to control the level of the voice, making it easy to create instant dynamic gating effects; lastly Rhythmic Gender applies patterns to random gender settings.
More controls have also been added, including Lead Level (in preset and global), guitar phase, a global setting that forces the Harmony footswitch to act momentarily, and gender control for Doubling voices. In addition, the VoiceLive 2 update provides a new Dual Output mode that puts the wet vocal signal on the left output and the wet guitar signal on the right output; more expression pedal parameters; and easier access to Tap Tempo.
The 1.2 update will be available as a free download from the TC-Helicon Web site in February, 2010.
