TeamDNR Paperdolls: It's Okay To Play Dress Up In The Studio
Let loose your inner child with the latest release from TeamDNR, Paperdolls ($5). This preset collection for the Tone2 Firebird+ synthesizer consists of two banks in experimental and ambient styles: Nudist Colony and Dressed For Success. Obviously, Paperdolls can dress up or down for any occasion and still look, er, sound appropriate in any environment.
Each bank consists of 32 "character" presets and focuses on different production styles. Nudist Colony represents firebird at its most basic, with no clothes; this bank's sounds were made using only the OSC and AMP ENV sections. You can dress up each sound in this bank with third-party effects and use them as inserts or sends in your DAW.
Dressed for Success is the remixed version of Nudist Colony. This bank reinvents the sounds found on the nudie beach by using all available parameters on the Firebird+ user interface, including the arp, filter, filter envelope, and internal effects sections.
Download Paperdolls for Firebird+ from TeamDNR's Web site for the same price as a coloring book.
