Quad-core hardware options for Windows-based Pro Tools systems just got more numerous. Santa Clara, CA's Terra Digital Audio has announced the release of the new MX2® Quad Core and M6-R Core 2 Duo systems. From the company:

In 2005, Terra Digital entered into the DAW market with the introduction of the M6-R. Since then, the company continues with its commitment to deliver true "out the box" PCs to support the Digidesign line of DAW recording products.

In the coming months, Terra Digital plans to introduce a new line of DAW PCs to support other popular digital recording software and hardware as well. Terra Digital Audio computers can be purchased and custom configured at www.terradigitalaudio.com or through an authorized dealer.

The Terra MX2-R Quad Core

The Terra MX2 Quad Core is a powerful Windows®-based workstation designed to run Digidesign Pro Tools|HD. The base model ships with two Intel® Xeon 2.66 GHz Dual Core processors, and is custom configurable, supporting processor speeds up to 3.73 GHz. It supports up to 32GB of PC5400 Fully Buffered ECC memory, four hard drives (SATA and/or SCSI combos), two SATA Dual Layer DVDRW drives, and a variety of graphic/video boards including the full line of NVIDIA QUADRO cards. It is a pro-end system designed for the most demanding digital audio recording needs.
