Two new small-body acoustic guitars are now available from The Loar -- the LO-16 (with a traditional Natural finish) and the LO-16 BK (with a classic Black finish). Both the LO-16 and LO-16 BK guitars were designed to offer the modern player that sought-after classic blues-box sound.

The new LO-16 adds takes the traditional L-00 shaped body style and updates it with some extra flair. According to the manufacturer, if you want an authentic front porch blues-box sound, you can't do much better than the LO-16.

With the exception of their finish options (traditional Natural or classic Black), both LO-16 models have the same features. The small-body acoustic guitars have a hand-selected solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides for warmth, a rosewood fretboard, a rosewood bridge, mother-of-pearl headstock inlays, fully adjustable truss rod, and Grover tuning machines for style and functionality. The guitars have 19 frets and a scale length of 24.75 inches.

With a nod to historic blues guitars, the LO-16 BK has a classic black finish with ivory-colored body binding and a vintage-style white pickguard.
