Thomas Corbishley Takoba Handmade Electric Guitars

Musicians from all periods of time have cherished handmade instruments. Nothing beats a handmade instrument in terms of artistry, value, and sentimentality. Just as mechanical musical renderings seem to be devoid of soul, so can factory, machine-made instruments seem to sound lifeless. Guitar maker Thomas Corbishley, having both academic knowledge and a musical spirit, brings to the world the Takoba Handmade Electric Guitars.

The Takoba Handmade Electric Guitars sport a unique uncompromising design that combines aesthetic appeal, superior playability, and a stunning sound. Made from carefully selected tonewoods and active EMG circuitry, these guitars produce a well defined sound. The Takoba Handmade Electric Guitars come in two models, the C-1 and C-2. The Takoba C-1 is a fixed-bridge model with Steinberger gearless tuners, Schaller bridge, and chrome hardware. The C-2 model has the same specifications except for a Schaller Floyd Rose tremolo bridge and locking nut.

Available in a range of metallic colors, the Takoba Handmade Electric Guitars can be ordered directly from Thomas Corbishley and costs $2,500 for the C-1 model (above) and $2,800 for the C-2 (at right). Need further convincing about getting yourself one? You can listen to a sample audio file from Thomas Corbishley's site to hear for yourself the tone of his guitars.
