Tone2 Wavetable Expansion: New ElectraX Preset Library Released
For the ElectraX software synthesizer, Tone2 has released Wavetable Expansion, an exclusive new sound bank of presets created especially for ElectraX.
The Wavetable Expansion pack is said to feature an inspiring selection of 200 presets for ElectraX programmed by a team of professional sound designers using new wavetables. The preset library focuses on ElectraX’s capabilities to import and resynthesize oscillator shapes to deliver a wide palette of action packed sequences, multi-layered arps, complex soundscapes, deep pads, gritty basses, and rich synth sounds.
According to Tone2, the ElectraX presets in Wavetable Expansion are suitable for electronic, IDM, soundtrack, dance, atmosphere, pop, ambient, house, and a wide variety of other music genres.
The expansion pack comes with 236 high-end quality waveforms ready to be loaded into ElectraX's wavetable oscillators. The licensed waveforms are a best-of selection from professional designers from renowned audio companies, Tone2 notes. These waveforms can be imported to the oscillators by clicking on the resynthesis button, and a drag and drop function for the waveform display is also available.
Every waveform can be further shape modulated using its PW feature to provide over 60,000 additional timbres. That's a lot. The bundled waveforms are also compatible with your favorite sound editor or any other software that supports WAV import.
For your convenience, the sound set supports Modwheel, Velocity, and Aftertouch. Tone2 writes, "For enhanced usability the volume of all sounds has been carefully normalized. Most sounds can be morphed with the modwheel. Some complex arrangements use multiple layers -- that’s why the sound set contains not only 200 patches, but over 300 sounds."
