Tonehammer Epic Tom Ensemble: Percussive And Powerful Sounds That Will Shake Up The Earth Into Battle

July 20, 2009
Tonehammer Epic Tom Ensemble

Tom toms are among the most melodic parts of a drum kit. Played as single instrument in an ensemble, tom toms add power as well as a slightly melodic touch to any music. While snares add that snap and bass drums have that boom in large percussion ensembles, tom toms fill up the gaps and add body to give a resonant, powerful, and meaty sound. Tonehammer Epic Tom Ensemble captures the spirit of the tom tom group as it is played in an ensemble format.

As expected from Tonehammer, the multisamples were developed by capturing a variety of articulations and dynamics using a combination of 10"-14" toms, rototoms, octabans, various floor toms, bass drums, and custom designed mega toms. The sounds of such a collection are perfect for scoring battle scenes or just in plain instances when a loud boom is required. In combination with their other multisample libraries such as Epic Dohl, Small Epic Percussion, and Bamboo Stick Ensembles, total percussion dominance can be achieved. All multisamples have been extensively recorded by some of the very best percussionists in the world in a high-ceiling glass, stone, and tile hall specifically designed for sample recording.
