While snares add that snap and bass drums have that boom in large percussion ensembles, tom toms fill up the gaps and add body to give a resonant, powerful, and meaty sound. As expected from Tonehammer, the multisamples were developed by capturing a variety of articulations and dynamics using a combination of 10"-14" toms, rototoms, octabans, various floor toms, bass drums, and custom designed mega toms. The sounds of such a collection are perfect for scoring battle scenes or just in plain instances when a loud boom is required.
