Professional drummer Hans Lindbäck lent his rhythmic skills to Toontrack for the making of Blues MIDI, a new MIDI collection of blues-style drum grooves.

Just like jazz and rock, blues has been accused of being the "devils music" and of inciting violence and other poor behavior, Toontrack notes. With the release of Blues MIDI, the manufacturer doesn't intend to agitate any such despicable conduct, it says. Toontrack simply wants you to use the grooves to "get your heart pumping, your fingers aching, and your head bobbing."

Blues MIDI features breaks; full 12-bar groove variations in different tempos, feels, and time signatures; and open hats, closed hats, cymbals, intro fills, fills, and endings sections. All sounds were performed exclusively by Hans Lindbäck. According to Toontrack, the sounds in this sound library will propel your music to a smoky bar stage and give it a truly authentic, impossible-to-program live touch. Its sounds and grooves are categorized in different songs, and all content works with EZdrummer and Superior Drummer (optimized for one kick, one snare, two toms, one floor tom, two crash cymbals, and one ride cymbal.
