Toontrack is out again with another release and going back into the acoustic emulation realm; this time around, they're putting out a remake of two of their beloved sample libraries called the Superior Custom and Vintage and the Superior Vintage add-on, once published for the original Superior Drummer, in a single library. The Toontrack Music Custom And Vintage SDX is the rereleased version of the two earlier sample libraries for the newer Superior Drummer 2.0.

Custom and Vintage SDX appears to be a virtual museum of drum history starting from the 1920s up to the modern instrument makers of today such as Johnny Craviotto. This sort-of-new library contains extensive stick and brush recordings of a unique collection of drums and cymbals along with mixer presets from producer Peter Henderson and custom MIDI by drummer Chris Whitten. n

The Toontrack Music Custom And Vintage SDX will come in two versions, an upgrade with special pricing for legacy product users and a regular SDX version with both having the same content. Availability in stores is expected by the end of October 2009.
