Toontrack Music Electronic EZX: Saying "See You Later" To Naturalist Acoustic Tendencies
Toontrack has been famous for making high-quality drum and percussion sample libraries featuring various types of acoustic kits from vintage to metal and even Latin percussion. Due to the realism that the kits have produced, they have been featured in various movies, TV shows, video games, live gigs, and even on various studio albums. Up until the latest release, Toontrack Electronic EZX, it has been 100% acoustic for Toontrack. It is this time that they realized they needed to go a little different this time.
Electronic EZX features circuit bent and resampled electronic drum sounds that are suitable for a wide span of genres including electronic dance music up to industrial metal. This library contains 33 kits designed by Brad Bowden and Richard Devine which contains samples of the electronic kick and snare drums. Electronic EZX also features parallel FX processing in the mixer window for variation and sound shaping possibilities.
Producers of the various electronic dance music traditions will find the kits in Toontrack Music Electronic EZX useful as the sounds will easily fit into genres such as House, Techno, Progressive, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rap, Electro, Grime, Jungle, DnB, RnB, Dub-Step, Trip-Hop, Acid, Glitch, and others. I do think some people might be intrigued and might even be baffled by this move from Toontrack given the fact that there already are a lot of electronic drum samples and loop libraries out there. If Toontrack believes it has finally found that they reach the zenith of acoustic drum sample libraries, then it could be a refreshing change for them. This new kit will be available by November 2009.
