What's new from Toontrack? The Metal EZmix Pack, a collection of ready-to-use presets developed by by Daniel Bergstrand for the EZmix plugin.

EZmix is a simplified mixing plugin that provides access to mixing tools for drums, vocals, guitars, basses, keyboards, and more. Created by Toontrack in collaboration with Overloud, EZmix is Mac- and PC-compatible and runs as an AU, RTAS and VST plugin. To use the plugin, connect it to a channel strip in your sequencer as you would any other plugin, and then pick a preset for the instrument or sound on that strip. For demo purposes or in full on production, EZmix will cut your studio time and speed up and enhance your creative process from the initial hook to the final track, according to the manufacturer.

EZmix is all about keeping music mixing simple, and the new Metal EZmix Pack helps maintain the plugin's level of "EZness." The expansion pack adds some serious metal to the mix, thanks to the creative work by producer, engineer, and mixer, Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Nocturnal Rites, Scarve, and Soilwork). As Toontrack puts it, this notable metal master has helped numerous bands perfect their precious metal vision, and now he’s going to help you perfect yours.

The Metal EZmix Pack includes a host of quick and easy-to-use presets for guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, drums -- you name it. To use the expansion pack, all you have to do is open the EZ mix plugin inside your choice of digital audio workstation (DAW), pick the preset you want to use, and apply it. According to Toontrack, that's really all there is to it.
