T-Rex PolySwitch AB: Polly Want A Hardwire Stereo AB Switcher?
In an attempt to outdo Lemmy, I've been running my Ric 4003 in stereo through a stereo bass flanger and sending that signal out to a total of four separate amp rigs: an SVT Classic 8x10, a SuperBass full-stack, an RB1000 atop two Hartke 4x10s and A Super Readhead combo, for balance. This setup -- I call it Ragnarockyourface -- requires the use of TWO A/B splitters, which is just completely superfluous. The T-Rex PolySwitcher is really going to help me dramatically streamline my live rig.
The T-Rex PolySwitch is, according the T-Rex, the world's first true-hardwired stereo A/B splitter. Every input and output is arranged as a stereo pair, meaning it's just a suitable for keyboards as it is for justifying ludicrous guitar rigs. Run two keyboards -- or any stereo instruments for that matter -- into a stereo amp. Switch between two stereo rigs in an instant. The options are endless and endlessly excessive.
The T-Rex PolySwitcher is more than just a novelty, however: the rugged design, hardwired-signal routing, and built-in buffer switch for long cable runs are all features you'd want in your backyard-variety mono A/B switcher. The pedal runs for 5-8 hours on a single 9v battery, or until the authorities shut you down on a wall-wart power-supply.
