T-Rex Effects Mudhoney II: A Dual-Distortion Guitar Pedal
It's distorted, it's deliciously dirty, it's the T-Rex Effects Mudhoney II -- the latest addition to the T-Rex Effects lineup of distortion / overdrive and modulation pedals.
Said to sound both dirty and sweet (like mud and honey), the new Mudhoney II is a classic dual-distortion pedal with a wide tonal range that can deliver everything from a smooth dirty edge to a harrowing wall of distorted sound. This pedal takes the features of the first Mudhoney and doubles it, so it's like having two Mudhoneys in one.
To make the new Mudhoney II pedal, the company added a second distortion channel to its original Mudhoney, and added four controls for each channel. The Mudhoney II sports Gain, Level, Tone, and Boost controls for each channel, as well as the same boost function from the original Mudhoney with a huge amount of range, according to the manufacturer.
You can play around with the channels to switch between a clean sound from your amp to an edgy overdrive from the one Mudhoney channel to a thick warm distortion from the other channel. What's more, the Mudhoney II features the same Boost function as the original Mudhoney and adds a tone control for each channel, which makes it easier to shape the timbre of your drive.
