TRX Cymbal Company has announced a new LTD Series that offers improved 18" and 20" Crash-Ride models with matching 14" Hi-Hats. The LTD Series enhances both sound and durability via three different finishing processes.

Through research, the TRX cymbalsmiths discovered some modifications to the edge, bell and face of their cymbals had a tremendous influence on acoustic output. Each of the three cymbal zones is optimized with their LTD cymbals.

The outer edge of the LTD Crash-Ride cymbals is coated in a heavily polished finish responsible for more brightness to drive the crash aspect of the cymbal. The bell has a natural finish which makes the ride sound more defined. The main surface of the LTD Crash-Ride ties the bell and edge together with a lathed and hand-hammered finish.

The LTD series is a mite heavier than the TRX MDM Series -- consider it an extra medium. This niche helps the cymbals fit into a wide load of playing style and situations.
