Turbosound TCX Compact Install Series, Turbosound RACKDP-50 USB / Network Controllable Amp

January 24, 2011
Turbosound announced the TCX Compact Install Series of loudspeakers and subwoofers, and the RACKDP-50 amplifier.

At Winter NAMM 2011, Turbosound debuted its new TCX Compact Install Series of high-performance passive two-way loudspeakers and bandpass subwoofers.

The TCX Compact series includes the 8-inch two-way TCX-8, the 10-inch two-way TCX-10, the 12-inch two-way TCX-12, and the 15-inch two-way TCX-15 passive loudspeakers, plus the TCX-15B and TCX-18B subwoofers, all with Speakon NL4 and barrier strip connectors. Internal M10 rigging points are provided for use with Turbosound wall and ceiling brackets and also for OmniMount loudspeaker mounting hardware.

Designed to be discreet in permanent installs, the TCX Compact series cabinets of four high-performance passive two-way loudspeakers and two bandpass subwoofers feature concealed pole mount sockets and rear handles for an unobtrusive appearance. Compact series units can be installed or taken on the go, since they are equally suited to portable use.

According to Turbosound, the TCX Compact series is supported by the latest GLL data file format for use with the EASE acoustic simulation program. The rotatable Converging Elliptical Waveguide is also featured in the series, with smooth and even dispersion characteristics that are ideal for smaller clubs, cafés, and restaurants.

Along with the TCX Compact Install Series, Turbosound introduced its new RACKDP-50 USB / network controllable four-channel amplifier. Combining four discrete 1,250W Class-D amplifier channels in a lightweight 2U package, the RACKDP-50 provides a software-driven solution for network control of a touring Flex Array rig. TurboDrive control software is built right into the DSP platform, allowing network control of multiple devices, plus comprehensive fault logging.
