UAD Neve 1073: Brightening Up Piano

November 07, 2007
Neve 1073

Using an equalizer plug-in to brighten up an instrument can often lead to harshness. It takes some very sophisticated processing to do this smoothly. Fortunately, the Neve 1073 is up for the job.

In this video Dan demonstrates this fact on piano. First you'll hear the track soloed as to focus on what the EQ is actually doing. Next, you'll hear the piano in a mix and the EQ will be adjusted to fit. Check out this and all the other videos regarding the Neve 1073 equalizer here at Gearwire.
