Ueberschall Elastik 2: Loop Player Gets Major Upgrade
While it may come free with their loop lilbraries, Ueberschall Elastik pleyer is central to getting the most out of your Ueberschall loops. Not wanting their fans to feel neglected, the folks at Ueberscahll have teamed up with the code-crunchers at zplane.development to offer a major upgrade of the played. Ueberschall Elastik 2 is now available as a free download form the Ueberschall website.
Elastik 2 is built around a new radar-looking GUI called the loop eye. This intuitive interface is also where you can interact with and edit your loops, on the fly. Elastik 2 introduces a new sequencing feature that lets you record cursor movements for automation of edits and effects, and sequence sophisticated edits and effects for each section of a loop. For those times when you hit a wall, creatively, the random replacement function throws a bit of chaos into the mix, helping to inspire new ways of thinking about your loops. The Elastik 2 interface window is now completely and dynamically resizeable.
The updated Elastique real-time pitch-shifting algorithm from zplane.de allows for more beat-matching and synch-to-host flexibility than ever before, with improved fidelity and less CPU-intensive processing.
Perhaps most important is the improved search functions in Elastik 2's loop browser. Users can now search by multiple phrases when finding loops, making searches more specific and finding the right loop faster. Loops can now be previewed in-sync to the host tempo, further aiding in selection.

A full list of new features includes:
- innovative loopeye functions
- fast browser features (multiple filter search, tagging)
- prelisten in sync
- sequence mode (loads of editing features per slice)
- random sound replacement
- parameter automation
- real-time sync to host
- bounce of original and modified loops
- resizeable window format
- mutiple soundbank management

Elastik 2 is available now, for free, for Mac and PC in VST, AU, RTAS, and standalone formats. The download includes a free demo loop library.
