With the new Ueberschall Jazz Colors Elastik sound bank (Mac / Win), playing jazz can involve more than a blue note or two.

The whole rainbow of jazz "colors" are put together in one large sound collection, including swing, bebop, hardbop, Latin jazz, smooth jazz, fusion, and ballad jazz. This collection's focus, however, is on modern jazz and the music influenced by greats such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, and many others.

The 3.8 GB library includes a total of 1,507 samples and 18 construction kits to color your world. Played by professional musicians, Jazz Colors offers drums, upright jazz bass, electric bass, jazz guitar, grand piano, Fender rhodes, Hammond B3 via Leslie, several saxophones, trumpet, and flute.

The drums were seperately recorded and are presented with each part as single track (bass drum, snare drum top, snare drum bottom, hi-hat, ride, crash, toms, stereo overhead, and stereo room). Due to the overlapping of each line, you can generate many different sound mixes, according to Ueberschall. What's more, all recordings are dry, without any effects.

Each kit is separated into four different folders: Intro & Outro Kit, which includes the matching intro / outro track for the overall kit along with its individual parts; A-Part, which includes the main theme with its sounds and phrases; B-Part; which offers an alternative track and phrases; and C-Part, which provides a second variation of the theme.

For your convenience, sounds are labeled with key signature and tempo information, and the included Elastik Player offers many DSP functions to adjust the phrases to further fit your tracks. You can also mix this sound library with all other Elastik libraries available. Since Elastik Player comes included with Jazz Colors, no other sampler is required.
