Ueberschall ScoreFX: The Kobe Bryant Of Soundbanks
Ueberschall's announces a new Liquid Soundbank, Score FX, and anyone into musical sound design should take note. The Score FX software boasts a beastly 7 GB of brand new sound to stimulate your creativity.
Its progressive structure makes it easy to build tracks out of included "themes" and construction kits, and the Liquid technology allows control over notes within loops and phrases, giving you precise direction over all the sound within.
You also have 28 construction kits, broken down into individual parts for customized rebuilding. Each kit is at least a minute long, and thousands of single accents, hits and strings, evolving soundscapes and organic rhythms are divided into themes based on different emotions and feels (i.e. Concern, Mysterious, Pleasing, Scary). The 954 small hits, called Accents, are also divided into similar styles.
Aside from Accents, Ueberschall has sectioned off two more categories: Beds and Rhythms. Beds provides 2 GB of evolving soundscapes, featuring 198 different samples that evolve for anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute. Rhythms comes with 362 files of complete loops that can be time-shifted or pitch-shifted to fit into your work.
Score FX doesn't skimp on ability to make and maintain presets, allowing you to, in essence, create theme music to play for characters, settings or events. If you're working with engine layers (think of games like Mario Galaxy where certain actions can trigger more sound), you'll have no problem with Score FX.
