The Universal Audio LA-610 channel strip is, in layman's terms, a magic box that will make whatever you plug into it sound better. Owen O'Malley and his sweet lightning bolt guitar strap test the merits of this preamp / leveling amp.  

After building up some mad respect for seven years, the UAD-1 is finally passing the torch. Universal Audio is super psyched about the UAD-2, which utilizes Analog Devices powerful SHARC DSP Processors.
