For the UAD platform, Universal Audio has released the EMT 140 Classic Plate Reverb plugin ($199). This exclusive plugin reproduces the sounds of three different EMT 140 plates formerly installed at the Plant Studios in Sausalito, California; it's licensed and endorsed by EMT Studiotechnik GmbH as the only authentic EMT plate reverb emulation. Each of the EMT 140's plate models have a unique sound and discrete mechanical damper controls.

The plugin also includes original EMT 80 Hz input Shelving Filters or custom aftermarket Martech Low-Cut Filters. The reverb has controls for Pre Delay, Low and High Shelving Filters, Wet / Dry Mix, Balance, Width, and Hard Bypass. Modulation controls are provided for additional movement to the stereo field.

The EMT 140 Classic Plate Reverb plugin is available as part of the new UAD Software version 5.6.0 release, or on its own from Universal Audio's Online Store.

For those who already own UAD Software 5.6.0, the EMT 140 plugin is available as a free download from the Support area of uaudio.com.
