You clearly have absolutely no idea how to properly utilize this unit; either that or your current setup is impeding its use.

The problem with reviews performed by
ambitious writers for various publications is that they are either experienced with A-B'ing feature comparisons or they aren't.
And when they DON'T have a SPEAKING voice, but use it to perform vocal tests on recording equipment it is the equivelant of garbage in-garbage out!
It fails to reflect what the gear sounds like especially when they babble on with nothing to say. Try a script.
Try having someone either male or female record a section speaking and then singing and then A-B one adjustment against another and offer comments or let the listener LISTEN!
I would no sooner go by your babbling demonstration
other than to blow it off and search for someone who
could more accurately describe what the unit is capable of doing, either for the spoken work or musician or singer.
Even if I had to go to gearslutz or another audio forum, at least some actually have some hands on experience and are capable of a more objective and accurate description of the GENERAL characteristics and capabilities of a given unit.
