At this year's BPM, Vestax introduced the TR-1, the MIDI controller made all the better by the collaborative efforts of Hiroshi Watanabe, the DJ who helped establish the mainstay art of laptop-based DJing in Japan. The TR-1 product page states in a FUBU-like manner that this MIDI controller was made for professionals, by professionals.

With Watanabe's practical DJ wishes in mind, the Vestax development team designed this simple, compact controller to have the knobs and switches of a DJ mixer and full integration with Native Instruments Traktor Pro and LE.

The cool exterior of the TR-1 features a white and gold face plate and knobs, soft push switches, smooth 60 mm slide input faders, selectable deck control, and adjustable LED light volume. A Shift switch feature allows you to customize deck control functions, while overall, you can control up to 160 parameters of compatible software.

The TR-1 comes bundled with Native Instruments Traktor LE software (Mac/Win).
