Vienna Symphonic Library Educational Discounts: Students And Teachers Get 30 Percent Off
It's back to school time again and with it comes a special Fall offer for students and teachers from the Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL). Through October 15, 2010, students and teachers of all educational institutions will receive a discount of 30 percent on all products (except for the ViennaKey and shipping charges).
To qualify for this offer, students need to have a valid student identity card or confirmation of enrollment from their educational institution and will have to register the VSL product to the name that appears on the document. Teachers will need a certificate / confirmation from their educational institution to get the discount, and they will also need to register their purchased VSL product to the name that appears on their certificate or confirmation. The fine print: only valid documents dated 2010 will be accepted, meaning that a student ID card from last year will not land you the 30 percent discount.
VSL products can be purchased at any of the company's authorized dealers and distributors, as well as at the Vienna Symphonic Library Web shop.
In addition to the educational discount, VSL has announced software updates for Vienna MIR (SE) and RoomPack 3.
Vienna MIR and Vienna MIR SE, whole-space mixing solutions based on Multi-Impulse Response Convolution (MIR), have been updated to version 1.2 with a number of minor improvements and performance optimizations. Vienna MIR 1.2 and Vienna MIR SE 1.2 are now ready to run Vienna Instruments Pro and will automatically convert existing Vienna Instruments projects into Vienna Instrument Pro projects.
RoomPack, which offers additional acoustic ambiences from Vienna’s famous church "Steinhofkirche," has been improved with a significantly lower data size. Registered users of Vienna MIR, Vienna MIR SE, or RoomPack can update their copies for free at Vienna Symphonic Library’s Web site.
