Despite what you may have learned on Sesame Street, sharing is not always in your best interests. When starting out TRAX records, Vince Lawrence was tired of sharing territory in Chicago with other stores, so he packed up and went to Detroit and blazed his trail right on to New York.

Things appear to have gone pretty well from there.
