With the iSyn Poly app by VirSyn, you can get instant access to a whole studio of virtual instruments, all on an iPad.

Developed by VirSyn with content from audioMIDI.com, iSyn Poly is essentially a virtual electronic music studio for iPad, featuring three fully programmable virtual analog synthesizers, a drum machine, a sequencer, and a complete FX section. Each synthesizer is an analog modeling synth with three oscillators, a classic 24 dB / oct ladder-style lowpass filter, independent filter, and amp envelope generators, plus full modulation routings.

ISyn Poly also includes a sample playback-based drum machine with 17 kits, each containing 8 samples. Drum samples include those from the Roland TR-808 and TR-909, modular synth drums, and numerous '80s drum machines. Volume, pan, and decay time are individually adjustable and pitches are tunable over a wide range.

Likewise, the sequencer lets you arrange complete songs and it can record the notes and controller movements of your performance. According to VirSyn, the unique gesture oriented user interface makes it ideal for live editing of notes and automations.

You can play the three synths or the drum machine with the onscreen keyboard / drum pads during live jam sessions, or let iSyn Poly do the playing for you with its piano roll sequencer, which is editable while playing. Play the keyboard by touching notes, or by sliding up and down for expressive pitch glides and vibrato.

With the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (available separately), you can use a CoreMIDI compatible MIDI Keyboard to control iSyn Poly.
