Virtuasonic MIJOY PRO 2: MIDI Control At The Wiggle Of Your Joystick
For those of you MIDI users who owned at Atari, Virtuasonic's MIJOY PRO 2 might be the plugin for you. MIJOY PRO 2 allows users to control their VST instruments, FX plugins, and even MIDI hardware in real time with a joystick or gamepad.
MIJOY PRO 2 translates data from your joystick or gamepad and assigns parameters such as control change, pitch bend, note, program change and channel after touch. With MIJOY PRO 2, it is also possible to combine up to eight joysticks and gamepads for massive multi-player MIDI control.
In addition, MIJOY PRO 2 is packed with the following features:
- General ON/OFF and independent switch for axis X, Y, Z and Slider
- X, Y, Z and Slider status
- Offset function with assignable minimum and maximum for each MIDI controller
- Output Mode (Sequencer/MIDI Port)
- Smoothness (from 1 to 5)
- 2 axis types (cartesian, radial)
- Support for 14 buttons
- Binary MIDI controller with assignable min/max (button 1 to 14)
- 2 Button Modes (Press/Release, Switch)
- Independent MIDI Channel Setup for every axis and button
Currently, MIJOY PRO 2 requires a Windows VST host like Cubase SX, Sonar 4, or Nuendo to be able to work properly. It is known to be incompatible with Samplitude 8, Ableton Live 5, or Apple Logic. All you need is your VST host, soundcard, and a joystick or gamepad, and you're ready to sequence Super Mario style.
