Vital Arts Plectrum V2: Found Sounds So Organic You'd Think They Were Grown On A Farm. Well, Guess What . . . THEY ARE!

October 29, 2008
Vital Arts Plectrum V2

Remember Vital Arts Plectrum? It was a collection of 187 crazy "instruments" played by plucking, strumming, tapping, scraping and flicking found objects like stretched strings, water glasses, snapped twigs and more. The only problem was that it was powered by a TASCAM GVI engine, and TASCAM announced that they were ceasing development on the GVI engine and their Giga products back in July 2008.

Vital Arts Plectrum V2 brings the Plectrum package to Kontakt 2 Player. V2 also brings the Kontakt 2 Player to you as it is included with the purchase. K2P automatically integrates the Plectrum library with any other libraries installed on your machine. Furthermore, Plectrum is now available to Mac users for the very first time thanks to V2. It can even run on the Muse Research Receptor.

Plectrum V2 revives the 187 instruments from the original version while adding 45 combination instruments known as "Multis." You can build and store your own Multis using Kontakt 2 Player for a Multi-tude of interesting sounds.

Fast Features:

  • 187 original instruments
  • 45 combination "Multis"
  • Round robin playback, with multiple articulations under every key
  • Nine easy access categories
  • Fast instrument loading and selection
  • Fully multitimbral, allowing custom split and layer "Multis"
  • High performance audio engine, powered by Native Instruments Konatkt 2 Player
  • AU, VST, RTAS, and Standalone
  • Thousands of full length high resolution samples, voiced for making music
