Vital Arts Media Plectrum Makes Sound You've Never Heard Before
October 17, 2007
Vital Arts Media's Plectrum samples sounds you've never heard come out of a keyboard. Creator Geoffrey Gee says on their website that he used existing technology to "make instruments out of sounds I have always loved, but never could play."
Such sounds include a "beautifully" out of tune piano, glasses from Gee's kitchen, and a Yamaha keyboard sample combined with an attack created from the collision of silver on a pillow. Check out the Gearwire video to hear these and more.
