Art Alexakis Studio Vocal Microphones

Art Alexakis burst onto the scene in the mid-1990s with his band Everclear, thanks in part to straightforward lyrics delivered via his So-Cal-Growl. Art spoke with GW's Pat Ogle about the mics he knows work well on his unique vocal timbre.

His recent favs include the AKG C12, and his dream mic is the Telefunken ELAM 251, but Art's advice to those trying to track the best vocal sthey can: spend some time to find the mic that best suits you.
