Voodoo Lab Pedal Power ISO-5: Power Up Some Pedals

March 10, 2010
Voodoo Lab Pedal Power ISO-5 is a compact power solution for small pedalboards or rack shelves.

Now shipping, the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power ISO-5 ($160 MSRP) will power up and work some voodoo magic on up to five of your effects pedals. With five completely isolated, regulated, and filtered output sections, the Pedal Power ISO-5 is a compact power solution for small pedalboards or rack shelves. It can also be used as an additional supply for larger boards.

The Pedal Power ISO-5 keeps digital effects and even the most sensitive vintage and boutique analog pedals dead quiet, notes the manufacturer. It delivers consistent power even with poor AC line conditions, and unlike wall warts that create a large hum-inducing magnetic field or daisy-chained digital switching supplies that generate unpredictable transients, the Pedal Power ISO-5 uses a custom-designed toroidal transformer that outputs stable, pure power. What's more, the unit's isolated output sections eliminate ground loops and unwanted interaction between effects, in turn providing improved tone, dynamics, and low noise.

Features include three standard 9V outputs, a dedicated 18V output, and a 9V / 12V output designed to run modern, high-current digital effects by TC Electronic, Eventide, and Line 6. The Pedal Power ISO-5 comes with a detachable AC power cord, all the necessary pedal power cables, and a five-year warranty.
