VOX AmPlug Acoustic Makes Your Electric Sound Like An Acoustic Via A Palm-Sized Package Within Your Own Personal Space

September 15, 2009
VOX amPlug Acoustic

One unique and very portable electric guitar practice method without sacrificing tone or making use of heavier amps at low-power settings has been developed thanks to the VOX amPlug series of headphone amplifier emulators. These little battery-powered gizmos have brought the VOX hardware sound in just a palm-sized package, and the VOX amPlug Acoustic is the latest addition to this line of big-sounding "toys".

The amPlug Acoustic is a pocket-sized headphone amplifier with an acoustic simulator. Use is as simple as plugging the amPlug Acoustic into your electric guitar and then plugging in your headphones for those shimmering acoustic guitar sounds. The Fat/Bright switch gives you two kinds of acoustic guitar sounds, and the Blend control combines the wet/dry mix. You can create your own sound in tandem with your guitar's very own tone controls and pickup selection. It is powered by two AAA batteries that can provide for up to 27 hours total of playing time, allowing you to enjoy the sounds of an acoustic guitar anytime anywhere and within the privacy of your headphones.

Vox AMplug

i am a big vox fan...i own one AC30.it would be great if this AmPlug had a line out plug as in using it as a Pre amp for direct recordings as many studios have inferior
amps and lugging the AC30 around is not always an easy option. Can u provide me with any tech if this headphone out will allow enough gain into a decent front end mixer?generqally going in direct is terrible, and i have tried some high end pre amps too...nothing beats the shimmer of a decent amp.

any feedback apreciated.
