Walden Madera Line Of Guitars Lets You Strum With A Green Thumb
In January of 2010, Walden will launch its environmentally friendly Madera line of acoustic guitars made of solid, 100 percent FSC-pure certified tone woods, including Sitka spruce, Western Red cedar, and South American “True” mahogany. Perfect for guitarists mindful of being green, the Madera guitars are made of completely sustainable materials and are tracked from forest to finished instrument.
Why "Madera"? Walden chose that name for its association with the Spanish word for “wood.” Guitars in the Madera line have a signature headstock embellishment shaped like the Chinese character “木” meaning wood.
At Winter NAMM 2010, Walden will show five Madera guitars plus Dreadnought and Grand Auditorium models in natural and sunburst finishes. The expected Street price of these guitars is $999. For more information, visit waldenguitars.com.
