Warwick Alien Acoustic Bass: New Release Features 5-Strings And Longer Scale
Thanks to an additional B string, the Warwick Alien Acoustic Bass is now a 5-string instrument with all the features of the 4-string version plus a fuller, lower, punchier frequency range.
The 5-string Alien Acoustic stage bass sports a longer 34-inch scale, a Fishman Acoustic Matrix Pickup, and Fishman Prefix Plus T Preamp. It's available as a fretted (24 frets) or fretless instrument, in left- or right-handed versions.
The bass has a nice laminated spruce top, laminated ovangkol sides and bottom, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a natural Satin finish. It's accented by an ebony bridge, metal tailpiece, and shiny chrome hardware.
