Washburn RO10 Rover Guitar: When You Need To Play Guitar In The Grand Canyon
January 15, 2008
Not many people know this, but Gearwire's Patrick Ogle is a hearty survivor who's ingenuity in the wilderness aided him in killing three bears and an alligator with his bare hands or a Bowie knife out of self defense. On every one of these excursions in the wild, Patrick brings a Washburn RO10 Rover guitar.
Check out Pat's thoughts on this steel stringer made for easy use when portability is what matters. You can't much defend yourself from bears while toting around a jumbo unless you're Jeff Jarrett.

What's so creepy about it?
What's so creepy about it?
spooky
It has a sort of hollow wierd sound to it...which, naturally, does not come across at all in the video. I noticed that when I watched the video..WHICH shows that if you did have one of these and wanted a haunting sound you'd need some better mic placement skill than I possess!
I see
Now I understand. By the way, Gearwire's gotten pretty good. Way better then the early days "Um Um Um Um Classic Um Um Um". Not that those days weren't good too.
thanks
I'm glad you think so. We love the old days as well. It's like the difference between two seasons of your favorite show.
