To kick off its Web site debut, United Kingdom-based Wave Alchemy has released its Drum Machines 01 (£22 GBP) sample library that combines three micro packs -- AirBase Drums, Deep Drums, and Electrik Drums -- into one.

The comprehensive library offers samples from warm analog drum machines, like the Vermona DRM MK11, Jomox AIRBase99, Jomox MBase 11, and Jomox XBase999. All samples were recorded through an API 512c preamp, and select sounds were sonically enhanced with an Empirical Labs Distressor and some SSL equalizers. Overall, Drum Machines 01 includes 1,400 24-bit, royalty-free analog drum hits. Let's look at them in detail.

From AirBase Drums, you get 128 AIRBase99 kick drums, 245 MBase11 kick drums, 41 AIRBase99 clap and snare drum samples, 52 AIRBase99 hi-hats and toms, and 16 AIRBase99 percussion and crash cymbal samples.

Likewise, the library takes from Electrik Drums 150 Vermona DRM MK11 kick drums and subs, 96 Vermona DRM MK11 snare drum and luxury clap samples, 65 Vermona DRM MK11 hi-hats and toms, 122 Vermona DRM MK11 percussion samples, and 20 Vermona DRM MK11 sound effects.
