WaveMachine Labs Drumagog 5: Drum Replacement Plugin Updated To V5

October 06, 2010
WaveMachine Labs Drumagog 5 drum replacement plugin has been updated with Auto-Align 2.0, direct plugin hosting, and more.

Ready to replace the former version, the WaveMachine Labs Drumagog drum replacement plugin has been updated to version 5 with numerous new features.

Drumagog automatically replaces acoustic drum tracks with your choice of other samples. If you don’t like the sound of your snare, for example, you can insert Drumagog on the snare track and choose a new sound; Drumagog will automatically play the new snare in place of the original. To use the plugin to fix and enhance your drum tracks, all you have to do is insert Drumagog onto a drum track, and pick your favorite sample. Drumagog is packed with extra features for advanced drum replacing and also includes a large 4 GB drum sample library.

What's new in Drumagog 5? This plugin now includes Auto-Align 2.0, direct plugin hosting, a redesigned graphic interface, support for multiple room samples, auto hi-hat tracking, and built-in effects. Auto-Align 2.0, a collaboration between WaveMachine Labs and Fraunhofer (inventors of the MP3 format), provides Drumagog with a more accurate sample alignment algorithm, better triggering, and perfectly aligned and sample-accurate drum hits.

Now that Drumagog has direct plugin hosting, you can play any virtual instrument from within Drumagog; plugins like BFD2, Kontakt, and Superior Drummer are inserted directly into Drumagog (Platinum version only). The redesigned graphic interface offers streamlined control and easier sample editing, while support for multiple room samples allows you to simply dial in the amount of room desired. Up to three room or alternative mic samples can be triggered from a single drum hit, and all room and mic samples maintain a phase-lock with each other.

Auto hi-hat tracking automatically detects the hi-hat pedal position (open / closed) in real-time. Hi-hats are now easy to replace, while retaining their original articulations. In addition, Drumagog 5 now includes a built-in convolution reverb and the Morph|Engine processor (Platinum version only) that reshapes sound with every beat. With adjustable room size, offset, delay, and more, Drumagog 5’s reverb comes with a custom IR library and the ability to read standard IR files.

WaveMachine Labs Drumagog 5 is available for both PCs and Macs (VST, Audio Units, RTAS) in three different versions: Drumagog 5 Basic ($149 MSRP), Drumagog 5 Pro ($289 MSRP), and Drumagog 5 Platinum ($379 MSRP).
