Want to have your song heard by Grammy winner Jack Joseph Puig? Via the JJP Mixing Competition, Waves Audio is giving every producer, engineer, and musician the opportunity to create an original mix using JJP Artist Signature Collection plugins for Puig himself to judge.

The JJP Mixing Competition is now open and will run until December 15, 2010. At the close of the contest, Puig will select the best mix and Waves Audio will award the winner with his or her choice of the JJP Artist Signature Collection or the JJP Analog Legends bundle. The top three songs will be streamed on the Waves Web site for all to hear.

To enter the contest, visit the Waves Audio Web site and submit your original mix that you created using JJP Artist Signature Collection plugins (JJP Vocals or JJP Drums, for example). Those who do not already own the JJP Artist Signature Collection can download the JJP Artist Signature Collection demo and use it for the competition. Those who have already demoed it can call Waves Tech Support at +1-865-909-9200 ext. 1 and receive a special 7-day demo extension.

Puig will judge the entries based on the overall sound of the mix. The winner of the JJP Mixing Competition will receive either the JJP Artist Signature Collection or the JJP Analog Legends bundle, as well as have his or her song will be streamed online.

JJP Mixing Competition guidelines:

• Entrants must use JJP Artist Signature Collection plugins somewhere in their mix -- the more the better
• Users will also need to describe how they used them -- which plugins, on which tracks, which presets, plus any other pertinent information
• Submissions should be in MP3 format (maximum file size is 10 MB)
• Entrants must own all the rights to the song they submit
• The winner will be required to send Waves the original session
• No more than two entries per person
