Waves Discounted Student Pricing For Most Plugin Bundles -- Students Get 50 Percent Off

April 29, 2010
Waves Audio is offering a 50 percent off student discount on its plugin bundles, for all qualifying students.

Heads up, starving musician students -- In an effort to support aspiring engineers, producers, and musicians like you, Waves Audio is offering a generous 50 percent discount on a number of its most popular plugin bundles. Instead of waiting for your music department to purchase the software you need and make it available on a shared computer for a limited number of hours of studio time per week, you can now purchase it yourself, play it all you want, and still have money to spare.

The student discount pricing is 50 percent of the MSRP of the following eligible plugin bundles:

  • Musicians 1
  • Musicians 2
  • Native Power Pack
  • Renaissance Maxx Native, Silver, Gold Native

And also four Waves Signature Series collections:

  • The Tony Maserati Artist Signature Collection
  • The Eddie Kramer Artist Signature Collection
  • The Chris Lord-Alge Artist Signature Collection
  • The Jack Joseph Puig Artist Signature Collection
  • To qualify for student pricing, the student and dealer must provide a valid student ID from a recognized educational institution or a Waves-certified institution, plus an additional form of ID such as a driver's license or passport, and a completed Waves student discount application form. To view a list of qualifying institutions, please visit Waves online or email orders@waves.com before completing a purchase.

If your application form is accepted, Waves will pre-register the software in your name, so for that reason, your Waves account login name must be included in order to be processed.

Disclaimer: In order to be eligible for the discount, students may purchase each Waves bundle only once. Waves will return or cancel any duplicate purchase or orders by students who do not qualify. Student discounts cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. Waves reserves the right to decide if the student’s educational institution qualifies for the discount and may refuse student discounts as may be required.

To learn more about the educational discount, or about other ways to advance your skills with Waves plugins (with the Waves Certification Program, for example, which provides hands-on, interactive training for many Waves processing plugins), please visit waves.com.

This used to be a problem

This used to be a problem for me while I was a student, the high cost of applications and resources. I'm glad to see that some businesses still think about the students and come up with sales and discounts dedicated to them. It's hard to ever learn without having access to such great applications like Waves.

It's difficult for most students to buy expensive music applications and sound libraries although they need them to develop into artists and music professionals. I admire Wave's initiative to offer discounts to students and schools for their software, I'm sure a lot of students are grateful too.

I will soon become a music

I will soon become a music student and I hope such discounts will be available later on too. Instruments and applications can be quite pricey, but they are a must for a student in the music domain. Usually you will go for trials that are available, but when they expire, you simply have to give up the utility if it is expensive.

    "The Tony Maserati Artist

"The Tony Maserati Artist Signature Collection" is my favorite out of the four collections. It's been a while since these discounts were available. Everybody loves discounts, but I have many of the products already anyway.

I am a freshman and I am finding it very difficult to purchase all the necessary software that I need to practice, so I am very happy to hear about Waves' discount. I can't wait to buy The Jack Joseph Puig Artist Signature Collection. Thank you Waves!

I am surprise that Waves Audio offers 50 percent discount for students. Because the students pay already taxes with the college this offer is a bless. The students are encouraged to express themselves, to exercise to compose music and maybe one day they will become great artists.

A 50 percent discount? This is more than great, but do they have this discount all year or it was just for a month? I always wanted to buy a Native Power Pack and with 50% off I will sure make my dream to come true. Thank you for this post, it really helps students.

Very good deal, even if we have to purchase each Waves bundle only once. I agree with the rest of the people who posted here, this is really a blessing. Does anyone have any idea when the offer is going to expire and where can I find a list with the eligible universities?
