Waves SSL G-Channel Equalizes, Processes Dynamics; That's Right

Waves SSL G-Channel

Waves furthers the growth of their SSL 4000 Collection with the addition of G-Channel, the fourth plugin developed under license from Solid State Logic. This completes the SSL 4000 console series and passes it onto you in plugin form.

The Waves G-Channel packs the EQ and dynamic controls of Solid State Logic's G Series consoles into a single tool. The EQ module will give you that pre-boost dip, pre-cut rise and broad Q you need for getting freaky with frequencies. The dynamics section provides soft-knee compression and limiting, a gate / expander and automatic make up gain. When those powers combine, they summon the convenient routing flexibility of the G-Series console.

This adds to the other three SSL 4000 Collection plugins: the SSL E-Channel, the SSL G-Master (also my rap handle) Buss Compressor and the SSL G-Equalizer. Waves has performed testing that suggest there is virtually no difference between the sound of their plugins and the SSL hardware it aims to emulate.
