Waves InPhase: Get In Or Out Of Phase
Fix that phase with Waves InPhase, a new phase correction effect plugin (Mac / Win) for phase shift treatment, phase alignment, and complex phase manipulation tasks.
Throughout the production process, phasing can occur at any time, during recording, mixing, or mastering. Phase can pop up during recording, when multiple signals are combined; for example, this can happen when combining individual drum mics and overheads, guitar amps and DIs, and sources recorded with more than one microphone. In mixing, phase can creep up when issues that weren’t addressed during recording need to be corrected. And in mastering, it can also come about when the final stereo mix has phasing problems.
To help you restore phase coherence, InPhase features high-resolution dual waveform displays, phase shift filters with adjustable frequency and Q, and a correlation meter that shows you just how much your tracks are in or out of phase. According to Waves, you can move your waveforms manually or by using the delay control and even align them in relation to a sidechain input.
The InPhase plugin includes mono, stereo, and dedicated live components, plus InPhase LT -- a simplified version that provides easy access to creative phase manipulation.
About the plugin, Waves says, "Phasing can cause drops in volume and wreak havoc on your frequency response and stereo image; InPhase gives you the power to get your tracks back on track."
Waves InPhase features at a glance:
- Dual waveform displays update in real-time according to processing
- Phase shift filters with adjustable frequency and Q
- Intuitive correlation meter
- Align tracks to an external sidechain input
- Delay control to compensate for timing differences
- Mono, stereo, and dedicated live components
- InPhase LT also available
The InPhase phase correction effect plugin is now available for the introductory price of $99 (Native) or $149 (TDM). For more details, visit waves.com.
