Joining the Tony Maserati Artist Signature Collection, the new Waves Audio Maserati GRP Group Processor plugin adds to the group even more of Tony Maserati's professional touches.

Created by Waves and multi-Platinum mixer Tony Maserati (Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Usher), the Maserati GRP Group Processor plugin was designed especially for group tracks; use it to put the finishing touches and sheen on background vocals, drums, master outs, and more.

About the new plugin, Maserati comments, "The Maserati GRP plugin is meant to help that final blend jump out a bit. It’s got a nice bit of equalization involved but no effects, no shredders, none of that kind of thing. In fact, the compression that I’m using in the network there is very, very subtle, because generally I don’t do major compression over my groups. It’s meant to add a nice sheen on a great blend of background vocals or compress a drum kit together, [to] make it really feel like it’s got some nice air to it."

The Maserati GRP Group Processor plugin features:

• Double precision bit resolution processing
• Supports RTAS, Audio Suite, VST, and Audio Units

Its controls include the following:

• Sensitivity controls input levels
• Sensitivity LED indicates when appropriate levels are reached
• Type is used to toggle between the Group types: Drums Live, Drums PRGM (programmed drums), Guitars, Strings, Keys, BGV (background vocals), and Master
• Compress controls dynamics processing
• Lows controls low-frequency equalization
• Mids controls midrange-frequency equalization
• Highs controls high-frequency equalization
• Output controls the output level
• Meter Switch toggles meter monitoring between input and output modes
• Meter displays input or output

The Tony Maserati Artist Signature Collection is available as a Native version only and requires iLok authorization. Maserati Collection version 7 and Mercury version 7 owners covered by the Waves Update Plan may receive the new edition of the Tony Maserati Artist Signature Collection, with Maserati GRP Group Processor included, at no additional charge.
