Way Out Ware SynthX: Powerful Synth App Shows Off What The iPad Can Do (Video)

Jim Heinz granted us a whimsical demo last year with his chicken-themed iSample composition, but this year's WOW-product demonstration is serious: the upcoming Way Out Ware SynthX is a radically powerful virtual analog synthesizer instrument for iPad that features perhaps the coolest interface of any soft synth we've ever seen.
Gino Robair sat down with Jim during the recent NAMM show to check out SynthX - currently still in Alpha - in person. The SynthX interface makes elegant use of the iPad's touch-screen, offering graphical feedback of the audible pulse-waves in real-time, as well as X- and Y-axis expressivity. We can't wait until this thing is official.
