Way Out Ware KikAxxe 1.1 Has A Question To Axxe You
Why would you even consider wasting money on an actual, vintage ARP Axxe synth?
The newest version of Way Out Ware KikAxxe is here to chew gum and KikAxxe, and being that it has no machenism with which to masticate, it will simply KikAxxe, thank you very much.
And what does Kik-ing-Axxe entail, you ask? Why, it just means being the most badass and user-friendly ARP Axxe emulation plugin that you've ever heard. With a built-in sequencer, drum machine module and even a recreation of the Echoplex tape-delay on board, the KikAxxe is everything you'll need to relive the greatest (subjective) music that 1970s prog rock had to offer.
Designed to be a fool-proof performance synth, the KikAxxe GUI is laid out in a familiar and inviting way. The lower half of the interface is dedicated to the Axxe sound-shaping controls, graphically represented as color-coded sliders for wave form, filters, LFO, VCF, etc. While tone-shaping is a straight-forward affair, the KikAxxe does ship with a wide selection of presets for instant performance.
The drum sequencer section has its own dedicated step-sequencer at the top of the interface. Five different sample-kits are included, and can be synced to a different MIDI input than the "Axxe" section. You can create drum and bass tracks from a single plugin with the KikAxxe.
Every single control on the KikAxxe can be mapped to the control surface of your choice, yielding a performance soft synth that's as easy to use or as sophisticated as you want.
The 1.1 updates add increased MIDI functionality. MIDI out for both the step sequencer and drum sequencer under VST and RTAS have been added, along with improved MIDI beat clock support.
