Wechter Scheerhorn 6524 Series: Brighter Than The 6510s (Don't Tell Their Mother, She Loves Them Equally)

Wechter Scheerhorn 6524 Series Resonators

Moving on from the laminate-mahogany bodied 6510 series, Tony Polecastro plays the laminate-maple 6524 series Wechter Scheerhorn resonators, and to give us an idea of the difference that tonewood makes -- even on resonator guitars where brass is generating much of the resonant frequencies -- he plays a 6510 for comparison.

The Wechter Scheerhorn Series Resonators were designed in conjunction with Tim Scheerhorn, and all have the option of being fitted with a Schertler Basik acoustic preamp specifically designed for resonator dobros.
