Typically, when I receive a saved job searches report or new job posting from Monster.com in my inbox I ignore it. Because I love my job, obviously (I only joined Monster out of curiosity. . . like I did with OKcupid). But the most recent mass-classified I got from the recruiting and employment website made me not only open the email, but click-through to the full posting description. This might have to do with the email's subject heading of "Alicia Keys is now hiring on Monster.com".

"Yes, THE Alicia Keys!" I'm quoting now from the official job description.

Apparently, the Bronx-born, Julliard-trained pianist (and occasional international pop music superstar) is seeking a "Head Blogger" to take the reins of I AM A Superwoman, her upcoming blog space. The site's description calls it "an online community connecting, inspiring, and broadcasting important topics related to women," and the Head Blogger's job will be a combination of (we're guessing) a fan mag editor-in-chief, Lifetime Television exec, and Vocalo.org producer. Fun!(?)

Prospective applicants should have "a background in Public Relations, Marketing / Web Marketing, Media Relations, Communications, Journalism, Writing, Digital Media, Internet Canvassing, and/or Social Media." If you have at least six months experience maintaining your Unofficial Justin Bieber Facebook Fan page, for example, you're in.

Also good to note: you have to be willing to relocate to New York City for the job, and "relocation costs [will] not [be] covered by employer." Empire state of mind indeed.
