Yamaha 62 Tenor Saxophone: Making Huygens Proud

December 02, 2008
Yamaha 62 Tenor Saxophone Bama Lamas

One came from Australia, one from Belgium by way of Japan, but both to America and the City of Big Shoulders to play that universal language called Rock N' Roll. The former is Pete from the Bama Lamas, and the latter is his Yamaha 62 Tenor Saxophone. Pete's rather proud of this Craigsist find; when he plays it, he makes us all proud.

While the Sax may be though of as a muscular lead instrument -- I'm picturing Clarence Clemens sweating in his jumpsuit live with the E Street Band (as I often do) -- as Pete tells us, it's actually quite a delicate piece of machinery.
