Yamaha DM-1000: The Flexibility Of Digital, The Pain Of Memory
November 12, 2008
The main room at S.P.A.C.E., a multi-purpose recording studio and live venue on Chicago's north side, plays host to any number of different functions. To keep things flexible -- and to keep booth sprawl to a minimum -- production manager Barrett Tasky relies on the Yamaha DM-1000 digital mixing console.
As Barrett explains, the Yamaha DM-1000 can record and store the mixes for every event, session and live performance that has ever come through S.P.A.C.E. Oh the pain, oh the misery of years that must reside deep within the poor DM-1000's tortured, digital soul.
