When you can't afford to hire as many assistants and studio runners as, say, Ocean Way, everyone in your studio needs to pull double-duty, and that goes for the equipment as well. Not only does the Yamaha DM-2000 at Horse-Drawn Productions hold down the "tape return" mixing job, it also serves as secretary, keeping track of old clients and the channel settings from their last session.
